Struggling

These last few days are just gone. I try to be productive and yet I can sit an look at it and not do anything. I guess my heart isn't into sewing or being creative.

Several acquaintances have died unexpectedly. All tragic deaths and I guess it effected me more than you can imagine. Hate it that it happens that way, but sometimes things are not to be questioned.

My mind is trying to recover from other things that have happened with my son and his on going troubles and yet things just seem to pile up. I did cut out some applique shapes this morning hoping that something would push me into a better mood. I plan on working on this and seeing if I can finish up a project that has set on the back burner for months.

The heat is going up and the humidity is also. We will be close to 95*F tomorrow and that has set the mood also. Hope everyone stays cool and you have a Great Weekend. Chris

when you have a lot going on, your brain kicks into overtime.... at least mine does, and I find my mind wants to 'wander' more. It doesn't seem to want to focus on one thing for very long..... that's when I work a little bit on hexies, maybe look through a few books, go sit outside (no humidity here) and just let the mind go where it wants. Your focus will return, no sense in having it add to your stress level....Hang in there, Chris... "this too shall pass"

Yup! Wise words from Katie! Sometimes when I feel the way you describe, it helps me to just go into my workroom and pile and re-organize fabrics...and turn on some music, and just vegg out. Hang in there, and let yourself be. Do not worry about doing!

Loss is hard and the best thing for it is rest. Just be, don't worry about doing...
