I did something I don't normally do

This is me all 58 1/2 years of me. Getting old and feeling every moment of it.
I took a picture of myself. Look at the chicken neck the graying hair and the dark circles under the eyes. I have had enough stress in my life for ten people and more to come. Will I make it to 100 I don't think so. The stories I could tell and the feelings I could share, but will anyone care. Probably not. This is part of the Golden Age thing we are to enjoy as we get older. LOL Chris

Look on the bright side, you are up on your feet, able to take care of your house, garden and your family. We're all in the same boat with the chicken neck (or turkey neck) but looks aren't everything. The glass is half full, not half empty. Beauty is on the inside.

I agree with Exuberant Color.. She is right.
Lot's of people care, I for one. I understand that living a hard life really ages you. I am half your age, and it is really taking a toll on me as well.

I love hearing stories!

I just came across your blog and love it. You have beautiful blue eyes, salt and pepper hair, wrinkles and waddles that you have earned. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Besides, I'll tell you a secret. Women our age are invisible....a very good friend and I figured that out. Gain weight, lose weight, wear makeup, no makeup......no one notices. It's not that they don't care, they see us the way THEY want to see us and the image doesn't match our self image. It's usually much better. So turn the corners of your lips up and smile. We are what we are.

I know exactly where you're coming from to a T. Yes we have much we can be grateful and happy for in life. That doesn't change though how we feel, our stress and the terrible curves we continue to endure.

I share much in common with you. That is I have also had enough stress for 10 people. And it just seems to get worse as I get older. People who aren't in our position just don't understand. That doesn't mean they can't be caring and sympathetic but in order to understand you have to walk a mile in our shoes.

God bless and I hope things take a turn for the better.

Chris, you have GORGEOUS eyes!!!! I must be loosing my sight cause I see no grey on you...I have plenty but Loreal Feria number 92 takes care of that!!!
As for stress....whew. I know about that too. I should be rocking in a chair but instead I am homeschooling and raising 2 little ones for the next 10+ years.
We can not control the stress that comes into our lives, but we can choose to let it destroy us or fight back...you are a fighter, I know....those blue eyes tell me so!
